I went to this place on the recommendation of a friend, Michael Harnest. I’ve had Iranian food before but this was even better! As you can tell, the portions were HUGE, with each dish being served with three different types of rice. A great place to hang out and eat good hearty Iranian food. It has two floors- basement and ground floor. Pay close attention to the ambience of the place. Most of the art is done by the owner himself which shows the love and dedication he has put into the place. They have belly dancing every Friday and Saturday! It’s located in the heart of Central London. Since my first time, I have gone here numerous times. The best dishes to try are the “koobideh” dishes and the lamb shank.
Located conveniently between Covent Garden and Leicester Sq station, so which ever is closer to you. I’ve been to Leicester Sq and Covent Garden numerous times and was pleasantly surprised to find this restaurant among all the busy streets that I used to pass through. A great find and I would recommend anyone looking for some quality Iranian food to check these guys out!
Budget: £20 approx.
