#Foodcoma London 2016-a gluttonous account

#Foodcoma London 2016-a gluttonous account

I have a confession to make…I cannot keep up with the food in London! :O Everyday I hear about a new pop-up, a new cafe or a new restaurant which is a MUST TRY. My body cannot take the onslaught of all these cuisines. I want it all! Yet I can’t fit it all in my body haha #foodbloggerproblems

2016 has been a bit of a daze for me…I’ve been eating A LOT as you can tell from my Instagram account but I haven’t had the chance to blog about it. Finally, I can list out ‘some’ of the places I’ve been to of late…because I’m nice like that πŸ˜›

Dirty Bones, Soho/High Street Kensington:

Filthy, diirrrrrty, finger lickin’ (sorry KFC) and super indulgent food is guaranteed at Dirty Bones. If you’re on a diet or looking to eat light- this isn’t the place for it. However, if you want to live a little and go all out- then step right in. Bold lights, colours and food coma inducing menu.

It’s a great place for big group dinners, celebrating a birthday dinner or drinks. One look at that Mac Daddy on their Instgram account and I was sold. I just HAD to go.

I took a friend and went to their second branch in London, on the top floor of Kingly Court in Carnaby Street. Just look at the mac and cheese and beef short rib oozing out of that burger. It tasted even better than it looked. *drool* even looking at the photo now is making me salivate…. πŸ™

Note: Try their Dirty Brunch: “Featuring their new Boozy Brunch Flight (includes up to 4 boozy brunch drinks from your pick of Dirty Mary cocktails, Lexy cocktails and Prosecco glasses – you can mix & match too…) £19pp only in Kensington – or if you’re hanging central check out Bottomless Prosecco for only £19 every Sat & Sun at DB Carnaby’s brunch.” Death by food…mmhmmm! For bookings- click here.

Basement Sate, Soho:

Best for: Desserts and cocktails. Need I say more?! Just look at those desserts :O No better start to your night than Basement Sate. Starters and mains are soooo overrated anyway πŸ˜›

Book your next night out here!

Fish, Wings & Tings, Brixton Village Market SW9 9PS:

If you love Caribbean food as much as I do, then you HAVE to go try Fish, Wings & Tings. They are open everyday except Mondays.

My first venture into Brixton Market couldn’t have started on a better note. This place just called to me- any place that has ‘tings’ in their name has got my vote! πŸ˜› haha

Definitely order: Goat Curry and Roti (comes with sides all on one scrumptious looking plate)

Food is absolutely delicious, cheap and makes you want to come back for more. They don’t have a website but check out their Facebook and Twitter accounts.

Ariana, 108 Bourne Terrace, Royal Oak:

DO go here for wholesome, mouthwatering Afghani and Iranian food. The interior isn’t much to talk about. It’s very basic and I don’t mind at all. I love their food and that’s what they do best! Some places just work that way. It’s cheap, cheerful and service with a smile. Last time we went- there was a massive wedding anniversary party happening and we were right in the middle of it. No one seemed to mind and we had a fab time! πŸ˜€

Brasserie Zédel, Sherwood Street, W1:

Not a new restaurant yet has to be mentioned. Located inside a 1930s converted building, this French restaurant is the quintessential French dining experience that does not break the bank. The interior is lavish- right out of a French movie set. Perfect for date night or dinner with friends. There’s also Bar Américain or the American Bar next to the grand hall where you can have a few drinks to start the night.

For menus, bookings and all other information, visit their website here.

There’s more to come in Part 2 and Part 3…yep, this is going to be a long blog post. Serves me right for not updating the blog. For all real-time action, follow me on Twitter and Instagram– that’s the fastest way to get up to date on all food updates in London! x
